The Most Important Loyalty You Must Have in Life is to Yourself

We tend to be loyal to our families, partners, friends, jobs, bosses, etc., prioritizing these relationships.

Now, I ask you: Where does the relationship and loyalty to yourself stand? Are you faithful and consistent with what you say, do, and think?

Depending on the relationship you have with yourself, it will determine the rest of the relationships in your life; the others become secondary, reflecting your own.

In many cases, we are not aware of this and strive to maintain other relationships, often at a high cost to ourselves.

Doing or saying things you don't want or agree with, whether out of fear or simply to avoid being left or not accepted as you are, makes us unfaithful to ourselves. This leads to a state of incongruence and possibly depression, confusion, lack of energy, purpose, identity, and personality, trapped in pretending instead of being authentic.

How can you identify if you are unfaithful to yourself?

  1. I always prioritize others and put myself last.

  2. I don't know how to say no.

  3. I'm afraid to express what I really want to say.

  4. I sacrifice myself thinking I do it in the name of love.

  5. I don't allow myself to be me for fear of what others will say.

  6. I don't fulfill the desires and promises I make to myself.

  7. I never have time for myself, but I make time for everyone and everything else.

  8. I think others have to change for my situation to change.

  9. I completely surrender all my power to others.

  10. I feel guilty for everything that happens in my relationships.

I invite you not to be afraid to be yourself, to express yourself, to say no, to take time for yourself, to follow the path that truly makes you feel and be happy from your essence, from the voice of your heart.

Being yourself requires courage, but it's one of the most beautiful rewards you'll ever experience because it's having the best relationship in life, in balance, harmony, and coherence - the relationship with yourself. The only one that will be with you at all times and for the rest of your life.

Love and Light,

Fabiola Passariello.
